The Sad Fool

This look is inspired by the idea of the “sad fool” and how humor can often be a form of defense as well as healing. Specifically, it is based on the 1862 painting by Jan Matejko, “Stańczyk during a ball at the court of Queen Bona in the face of the loss of Smolensk” (from the original Polish) Materials include silk georgette, wool coating and cotton.
